Puff Biscuits

Usually, whenever the word “biscuit” comes in our minds we think that it is a specialty that can be perfectly made by the bakeries. But we can also make the same crispy, sweet, and delicious PUFF BISCUITS at home to quench our mild hunger. To make our teatime more enjoyable, we can also try to make these biscuits more flavorful by different garnishing methods. It reminds me of some nostalgic memories of my childhood. Me and my little brother used to enjoy these mouth-watering biscuits which our mom mostly made on every weekend. In these summer holidays I tried to make these yummy biscuits for the very first time with my husband and kids. We really enjoyed making and eating it. It’s very simple and easy to make at home, this is the main thing that beautifies this dish. I hope that you all will try and enjoy these simple yet elegant biscuits.

Puff Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 75 g Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoons Cinnamon Powder
  • 1 Tablespoons Cardamom Powder
  • 350 g Puff Pastry

Instructions

  • In a bowl, add brown sugar which should be 75g in quantity,1Tbs cinnamon powder and 1Tbs cardamom powder. Mix these ingredients together and divide into 3 equal parts.
  • Now take the puff pastry and roll it into a rectangular shape using a rolling pin.
  • Then spread the sugar mixture on each side of puff pastry
  • After this, press the sugar with rolling pin. So, it gets stick to the pastry
  • Take a piece of baking paper and place over puff pastry and then flip over
  • Repeat the same steps on this side of it.
  • Now, fold the pastry sheet from both the sides. Then cut it into thin slices.
  • Place the thin slices on a baking tray and sprinkle the remaining sugar on top and gently press with thumb
  • Bake them on 200C for 7 minutes, after this turn the sides of puff biscuits and bake for another 7 minutes.
  • After baking them for 7 more minutes, serve them out and enjoy!

Notes

The key for working with the puff pastry is to make sure the dough is completely defrosted. If the dough starts to get sticky or soft, put it back in the fridge for some time. In this way you can easily work with it.
