Homemade Hummus

Hummus is a tasty and healthy dip for everything you eat like shawarmas, salads, vegetables and a spread for burgers and sandwiches. I tried out this recipe for making homemade Shawarma, on my mother’s birthday. She love shawarmas since she went Middle East. So, I decided to make her happy with her favourite dish. As mother always appreciates daughters on even little hard-work but that day she became so happy and gave me a lot of wishes and love that can not be express in words. So that was proud and memorable day for me. So eat fresh and live healthy and happy life.

This is my one of the favorite Hummus Recipe! Hummus is a very healthy Mediterranean and Middle East salad’s dip and a bread spread. With few steps and tricks, it’s easy to make this mouthwatering and delicious homemade hummus and far better than store-bought. So let’s make this!

Homemade Hummus

Hummus is a tasty andhealthy dip for everything you eat like shawarmas, salads, vegetables and aspread for burgers and sandwiches. I tried out this recipe for making homemadeShawarma, on my mother’s birthday.

Ingredients

  • 240 g Boiled Chickpeas
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 Green Chilli
  • 1.5 tbsp Tahini
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 3 tbsp Yogurt
  • 2 tbsp Water

Instructions

  •  In a blender, add yogurt, green chilli, garlic cloves, tahini / peanut butter, salt, olive oil, lemon juice ,and boiled chickpeas.
  •  Blend everything until paste like consistency. You can add 2-3 tablespoons of water, one by one, if it is too thick and hard to blend.
  • Now it’s ready to use for your favourite recipes like shawarma, salads, bread sandwiches, as well as, can be eaten with regular vegetable dishes etc.

Notes

While blending, blend until smooth paste like consistency occurs, do not over blend it that it becomes a creamy paste.
