HOMEMADE HUMMUS

This is my one of the favorite Hummus Recipe! Hummus is an amazing Mediterranean and Middle East salad’s dip and a bread spread. The best thing about this dip is that it has a variety of impressive health benefits.
Course: Snack
Cuisine: Mediterranean

Ingredients

  • 240 g boiled chickpeas
  • 2 lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 tsp garlic cloves
  • 1 green chilli
  • 1.5 tbsp Tahini
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp water

Instructions

  • In a blender, add yoghurt, green chilli, garlic cloves, tahini / peanut butter, salt, olive oil, lemon juice, and boiled chickpeas.
  • Blend everything until it has paste like consistency. You can add 2-3 tablespoons of water, one by one, if it is too thick and hard to blend.
  • Now it’s ready to use for your favorite recipes like shawarma, salads, bread sandwiches, as well as can be eaten with regular vegetable dishes etc.

Notes

While blending, blend until smooth paste like consistency occurs, do not over blend it because we don’t want a creamy paste texture.
