Chicken korma

Korma is a characteristic Mughal dish and now it is the famous dish of sub-continent and across the world too. Korma is loved by every single person whether it’s beef, mutton or chicken. Korma has a mind-blowing flavor and it gets ready in much less time. Korma is creamy, spicy and full of flavor. The spices used in it are mostly present in our homes so it is very feasible too. Kormas are best served with paratha or naan.

I really love to make korma, for me it’s like a child play. There is no such drill in it. With my dedication and love for cooking, I make korma for my family more than once in a week. I find it very healthy because it is rich in proteins and the spices used in it are good for immunity. The easiest recipe for korma is given below. Try this at your home and cherish your family.

Chicken korma

Ingredients

  • 2 medium sized Onions
  • half cup Oil
  • 2 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
  • Half kilogram chicken
  • ½ tablespoon red chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 3-4 pieces cardamom
  • ½ tablespoon all spices powder
  • 2 medium green chilies
  • half cup tomato puree or 3 chopped tomatoes
  • Half tablespoon dry coriander

Instructions

  • Chop the onions and fry them till it is golden in color.
  • Add ginger and garlic paste.
  • Fry for 2 minutes.
  • Add chicken and fry for 5 minutes on medium flame.
  • Then add all the spices and mix well.
  • Add green chilies and tomato puree.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add half cup of water and cover the lid. Let it simmer for 10 minutes until the chicken is tender.
  • Add dry coriander for the taste and fresh coriander for garnishing.
